Abstract
Ioseph Constantin Dragan, (Lugoj, 20 June 1917 - Palma de Mallorca, 21 August 2008), was a Romanian naturalized Italian entrepreneur, essayist and academic, founder of the ButanGas industrial group and professor of economics in various universities. Following the success achieved in his work, in 1967 he started the Dragan European Foundation which had as its purpose the dissemination of European culture and ideals. He subsequently founded the European Association for Bioeconomics Studies (E.A.B.S.). The published piece is taken from "The Proceedings - Implications and Applications of Bioeconomics”, assemble the interdisciplinary contributions to the “Second International Conference of the European Association for the Bioeconomic Studies - E.A.B.S.”, held in Palma de Mallorca on March 11-13, 1994.
