Main Article Content
Abstract
Bioeconomics, as it is well-known, is linked to the work of N. Georgescu-Roegen, the great economist and author of the fundamental book, The Entropy Law and the Economic Process which is considered by many people to be the most important economic work of the second half of the twentieth century. As Georgescu Roegen states, a new methodological and interdisciplinary approach is necessary to lay the scientific basis for the economy of environmental protection, and to rethink the principles which have constituted the foundation of the standard economic theory.
